New Guy

Hello! i am new to the whole forum bit so if i would be to make a mistake than that would be why. Also, english is not my native language so if there is something you don't understand please point that out to me, i do not mind learning from my errors.

I'll tell a bit about myself first:
My second name is Michael (i prefer this because it's easy to pronounce in english) and i am only 17 years old, but have noticed to be more mentally developed than other kids of my age. (It's more of a burden this day and age...)
My age also means i'm doomed concerning certain preferences, like my wish to be a vegan, which i can't be because my parents have to buy products for my 3 other siblings too. i have 1 twin brother and 2 sisters who are twins too. We are 3 years younger than them.
I am also restricted to only certain times on the interwebz because i stay in a boarding school through the week together with my sisters and my brother.
School is out for summer now though so i can respond quickly.

That's basically me, if you have more questions please do not hesitate to ask them ;) .

Now to the main part:

I have been researching/collecting information on the topic of astral projection. I have tried it myself a couple of times without success. The main problem being that i do not practice enough and have trouble meditating. i am done lacking self-discipline because it gets in my way and i need a push in the right direction before i try again.

The way i used to try to AP was via an MP3 recording downloaded from a site. It was basically someone talking to me and giving me guidance through the stages of
the experience. I didn't even succeed inreaching the vibrational state however, and didn't try it again since. (it's been 2 months now :? )
I want to pick it up again put need help. I browsed through the Astral Pulse forums and stumbled upon Destynee's Plan. I have heard a lot about the people on these forums and their good intentions and would like to be guided in my journey.

Hi Michael, welcome to Destiny's Plan.
Let's hope we can awaken your ability again and make it second nature.
Have a read through the topic and when ready, you can start.
There's other practitioners here learning and a read of their experiences may help.

I was not previously aware of any lessons so i'm glad you mentioned that. Is there an easy way to keep you updated on the progress?
As for the destynnees introduction: Woops! I overlooked it being new and all. (Even with a slick and neat forum as this one)

Just continue to post in this thread. This thread is JUST for you to post about your progress and any questions you might have.

We'll (myself and the other mods) will assist you in working through whatever issues you're having. :)

So go ahead and provide answers to those first few questions in the thread I linked earlier and we'll go from there!

1. Give us a general understanding of what kind of knowledge you have regarding astral projection.

I understand that it's the concept of forming an energy-body to be able to explore the astral plane and places in the physical dimensions. I have been looking through threads on the astral pulse for several months now. I have never read a book on the topic yet.

2. What kind of expectations do you have towards projection... what do you think projection is?

I think that it's being able to expand your knowledge about life and existence without the blockade of the physical world.

3. What kind of methods/techniques have you tried?

i have tried listening to pre-recorded messages without any success

4. How long have you been attempting them for?

a total of 3 months i think. I start meditating soon

5. What kind of goals do you have for learning Projection? You can be general or specific.

I really wish to understand certain types of energy and i also want to meet my guides and other beings in general

I like that you've really not dove into the reading materials available to you on the subject of astral projection. You can get a lot of really bad information from books and other internet sources these days... enough to scare you actually.

Along with the lessons we have here, I'd suggest giving my book a quick read: astral-projection-book-f49.html

Try to put aside what you THINK astral projection is and open your mind to other possibilities. Don't lock yourself in, for now, into one paradigm... at least, not until you've had your own experiences. :)

You are right about that one! The things i've read already are very abstract in comparison to one another.
I will follow your advise and form my own views and opinions on the matter.

I've tried again this morning and was stunned at how well it went. I did not reach vibrational state (i'm having trouble with that one) but i really relaxed, and that's something i don't do that often. I felt a change in energy or something, a shift in mind. I never felt that before but it was a freeing feeling.

If someone could help me with a how to reach the vibrational state i would be very grateful! :)

One of the biggest mistakes most people end up making is focusing "too much" on the "vibrations".
I'll give you an analogy that I've used before in regards to this:

Aiming "for" the vibrations is kind of like learning to punch correctly by aiming "at" your target.
When you learn to punch CORRECTLY, you learn to punch by aiming THROUGH (behind or past) your target.
So the act of punching hasn't really much to do at all with your target really... it has to do with what's beyond your target.
Just as the act of projection hasn't really much to do at all with the vibrations... it has to do with what's beyond the vibrations.

Vibrations aren't a goal in and of themselves... they're simply a signpost that reads "Keep doing what you're doing, because you're doing it right" - then to be ignored and forgotten.
Also, keep in mind that while wandering the path of projection, you might never encounter that sign, you might NEVER experience the vibrations (I don't anymore)... but that also doesn't mean you're not on the right path.

The point of "Lesson 2" in our stickie section, is to get you to shift your focus away from this physical reality. Even though you're watching a video (in this physical reality), if you bring your awareness completely INTO the video while you're watching it... you can "tune out" this physical reality. The more you can tune out this physical reality; the more you can deepen your awareness INTO the video while you're watching it... the greater chance that you'll project. The point of the video is to teach you to focus your awareness away from this physical reality. Eventually you'll have to close your eyes and focus on something else, but you'll quickly get the idea. :)

Thanks Xanth! i'll try it on this for now. I'll update on any progress made. Soon i will be back in school though so it won't be soon i don't think but bear with me. (is that right? Bear? Bare? i do not know, uncertainty consumed me just now)

LOL I actually had to look that one up myself:

“Bear with me,” the standard expression, is a request for forbearance or patience.

“Bare with me” would be an invitation to undress.

So you had it right. :)

Welp, I've already made progress! This morning i woke up at 7 am. I listened to some music first and after a good 20 to 30 minutes I started to begin my exercises.
after this I tried to project. I hit vibrational state after about 5 minutes (could have been more or less because I lose time in these situations) but it was not very heavy, it was quite soft. I imagined myself walking through a hallway and looking at some things and after a while I could feel it! I was walking there while I lied there! it was very cool. I now also understand why the mindset is important because it took me a while to feel myself walking again. I didn't really know what the trigger for that was.

I also had hypnocognitive (darnit that's a hard one) sensations. As soon as i felt the vibrations i heard child voices, but not a scary way. (because child voices + horror movie = hella scary man)

So I guess I'll practise some more this evening and tomorrow morning until I get back to school. I can do this on my boarding school but I heard a lot of changes were going to be made so I'm not very certain just yet.

Oh and thank you Xanth and the rest for the help and support! I really appreciate it :) !

Keep going, you're making good progress. You may notice strange noises or a hissing/ chips frying in the background. This is a good sign too, when you recognize the noises, its very close to an experience beginning.

The vibrations, I've induced them around 5 times. They've only occurred naturally around 4 times in 50 years of practicing the art of projection.
Sleep paralysis is also non existent. They are as Xanth has said, a signpost. If you get them then OK. If not, then you may be in a better position to learn the art.
I find when they present themselves, a far longer delay in the time from being relaxed to being in an experience than when they don't appear.
With phasing, they are not normally present for many practicioners.
This will be covered later once you have some consistency in your achievements. Your early experiences can indicate if this is better than a bodily based exit routine.

Thanks, Szaxx! I am still trying and on my boarding school it won't be much of a problem to practice because it's actually very quiet there and the room becomes very dark. I have tried in the evening but without much luck. An alarm has been set to alert me when early in the morning. I'll update on any progress
