I was definitely an 'OOBEr' at one point.. and then a 'TOEist' directly after reading the books... it's hard not to be.

It's quite startling and very telling that this list has been received without any complaining and just goes to show that us nonphysical explorers can take a joke and at the same time understand each other.

Open minds and kindred spirits abound.

You also have the cliched learned types. No one can know everything there is to know concerning the NPR, but there are many who have personally mastered the "art" and are ready to teach others.

You have the old and wise one. These have been exploring their whole life. This one is slow to anger if at all and had tons of patience. Never preaches and answers with riddles. Has observed many of the same things as those that came before and adopted the same terminology just to keep it simple. Now that they are getting older they recognize the value of the physical life and emphasizes this. Because of this, they have little time for anyone who is completely raw. Is rumored to have "powers"

Then there is the middle age guru. These have around ten years of experience. Is big on having a label or title. Preaches to drop all preformed beliefs but is currently trying to instill new ones. Has patience but only if the student shows a willingness to quickly do things their way. Insists on new terminology because they are sure that they are the first to see something as they have. Gets along with the wise one but only on the surface and the elder is not fooled but couldn't care less. This of course upsets the guru. Has many followers and craves acknowledgement. Is jealous of those with special "powers".

Next, the new kid on the block. 2+ years. Knows a lot but is inflexible about subjective truths. If it's true for them, it's true for you. Does not care about student success rate so long as his name spreads and gets around. Constantly butts heads with the guru and most people for that matter but avoids the wise one. Goes with the flow on modern terminology because growth is key. Believes that the answers to everything are just within their reach and plan accordingly. They should easily have the following of the guru and the wisdom and special powers of the wise one in no time. Has a few followers but they are fiercely loyal because up until now, no one else gave a crap about them.

Oh god... anyone remember kurtykurt from the Pulse? That was him... 100%. Except he took it to the extreme of making his own fake-technology just to impress people.
I remember he used to take really nice artistic pictures of all this equipment... all the crap was meaningless, but they certainly looked like they would make great art pieces. LOL

I can. He went crazy thinking I was a base jumper or something because I called him chicken. It was entertaining at the time.
I did want to question his tech ability as a pic he displayed had a close similarity to something thats ' not patent granted in the interests of national security'. Unfortunately he went away.
Probably for the better...

That's why i called them cliches. No one type fits anybody. Im' guilty of all the Beedeekin listed except for the APer. I'm certainly not the wise one but I've met a few online that meet the positive aspects of the cliche. ;)

As far as the Techy goes, who can argue against that really in this modern day and age? Why spend time meditating when your only goal is to phase and get there fast? Now the person who meditates both with the intent to phase and without and likes to use tech is another animal all together. Namely of the feline species.

Or is that race, genus, class? Who cares? :D
