Whether they are physical movements or meerly thoughts, and think about their immediate conesequences for as long as you can.

Stop and think.
We're taught this at school and so few actually do it until its too late. Pity that its less thought of when in a bad mood.

Adyashanti speaks a lot about a meditation technique he calls "Meditative Self Inquiry".
What you're talking about is very close, if not exactly that.

He explains it in this video:

I have yet to watch the video but I would like to expand on what I was thinking when I posted this. The idea is you can or should do this at any time of the day, during any activity or while you are in any sort of state. By taking the time to stop and just think of your very next actions, whether its just moving your fingers to type a post or whether its putting one foot in front of the other, you find your concentration and image of what you are doing that much clearer. I think of it in two parts, the first part is the process of focusing on the present as finely as you can, and the second part is trying to predict the consequences of what you are doing, trying to predict the immediate future.

Not sure why but this tends to increase my concentration a lot, and its such a basic idea.

Oooh... Mindfulness?

That actually might be more along the lines of what you're talking about.
Its a practice by which you're always "there"... "in the moment".

Yeah guess thats it. I prefer not to attach a label though as all this other junk usually comes with it.

That's understandable. :)

With all the labels I tend to throw around, I use them mainly for myself... I don't like using them in relation to other people really.
