Semi-fixed

Ok, so... I restored the database to what it was last night.
My apologies for this... but it did restore the thanks-posts! \o/

Anyway, to answer mini stapler... I was attempting to install a SEO Mod to help my page ranking on search engines.
Unfortunately, this blew up in my face slightly. But everything should now be back to semi-regularity.
I'm giving up on the SEO mod, because there's just too much crap I'd have to modify to keep everything as it is AND use the SEO mod. So meh..

AND... the Pulse's conversion didn't go so well. It failed on one of the first few checks, because of some duplicate user entries. I had to delete those... that didn't take all too long.
Then it was chugging along and on the last step of the conversion it failed. Adrian has been up since 4am (UK time) so he went to sleep and will continue the conversion tomorrow trying to figure out what caused the error. So we'll get things up and running tomorrow probably... HOPEFULLY. lol

They're back...
That's a thumbs up.

A bit of rest and the Pulse will beat again with it's new heart.

Yeah it really shouldn't take much to get the Pulse back up and running .
The conversion ran fine right up until the end and the error seemed relatively easy to resolve.
It'll get done tomorrow for sure.

That's great news.

I had a good reason to test the thanks button, I'm sure everyone will agree..
They too may test it.

Do you have any update on the Pulse?
It's a long minuit in my opinion.
Well if it's having a new heart, might as well do the rest, it's bionic. :D

Adrian was going to look into the error message he was getting during the conversion.
I haven't heard from him today though.

We'll have to wait until tomorrow.

So a quick update on the Astral Pulse.

The support forum for the conversion program wasn't very helpful according to Adrian. So we're just gonna try again... the errors that creep up with this thing seem to be quite random, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that it works out this time. LoL

If this doesn't work, I'm guessing the only other option would be to use the most recent version of SMF instead of phpBB.
That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but it would still require a massive conversion of the database. So even that might fail in the end.
Remember, the Astral Pulse has been converted, something like 4 - 5 times already in its lifespan. Adrian has put a lot of work into this thing behind the scenes. It's jumped software almost as many times as well.

Adrian is running the conversion program again on the database... after a quick stumble out of the gates, it seems to be going very well.
We'll see what happens later in the day.

Let's get some positive energy flowing towards this one folks!! WE CAN DO THIS!! :)

Lets hope everything works. Its a big jump and Ill send a parachute just incase. Makes for a soft-ware landing.
Energy on its way. Ill send it in day-ta packets.
I found some on the stream.
This is rather silly.

Adrian is doing a challenging task with this conversion and I'm sure we'll all appreciate the hard work involved.
Gold stars awarded.

Well, I finally installed the SEO I was trying to do a while back... got everything working fine, or so it seems.
If anyone sees any problems come up, please let me know immediately. :)
