One of my friends linked this article to me a short while ago. I read a bit, but didn't finish it as I was really busy at the time. I still have it loaded on my phone though.

It's always intriguing to me when people say something is "more real than real"... there are so many assumptions in that one tiny statement that it makes my head spin.

From what I read so far, the article is really good though.

Good article but the comments were great.

Nice to see that even people whom have had no OOBE still believe in their objective existence for all to experience.

Then you have the hard core dismissive science types.

Until we can know for sure, we all have to believe in something.

Yea, I think believing in something is fine but for as posted somewhere on this site the ability to change is most important.

My favorite comment from kingcole225:

Can't anyone here just admit that they don't know this sh*t? No one knows what happens when you die: there could be consciousness afterwards and there [might not be] could be not. This seems to slightly suggest that there is a possibility that there is consciousness after death; with an equally possible explanation in the form of "hallucination." We have no f@#$in idea what consciousness even is, let alone how to test for it, so I don't know where you're getting this "scientific data."

If we are willing to put our egos aside, this about sums it up. :D

Runner up from Angie Chipman:

You have no evidence to prove your claim. That's the pain of it on both sides. Nobody can prove or disprove anything. I can tell you my experiences and I know my experiences are real. Your disbelief doesn't invalidate them. At the same time, there is nothing available scientifically (yet) to create measures and show the type of proof people desire. So, is it possible that science isn't there yet (like when we refused to believe that bacteria existed or that women suffered from hysteria because of a wandering uterus) or are we just going to stomp our feet and claim that it can't possibly happen because you haven't experienced it for yourself?

Last and least are two replies to this comment from Steve:

You are not matter as life is not a by product of chemical reactions. This is basic knowledge. I work professionally as a medium and I would be happy to work with anyone out there who would like to have their skeptical beliefs smashed. The facts speak for themselves and material science, as wonderful as it is, is extremely limited and narrow with many of its conclusions.

First reply from Tooly:

I am also a medium. I wear large however just to feel comfortable.

Second reply from Brant:

Ha! The "professional medium" is here to tell us what is basic knowledge! This is good stuff!

Sorry guys, I do not meant to infer that you can't read for yourself. :)

When it can be shoved in a test tube the scientific ones may peek at it. lol.
