I downloaded it to my Kasina, Szaxx, so I don't really know how to convert that into a MP3 format.

But, I did find this info at the Sound Cloud Forum. "You can download the track as a high quality 320kbps MP3. This preserves the AudioStrobe light encoding".

I will send it to via email! :)

Hi Lionheart,

I have owned the Proteus light and sound since 2010. That is the earlier version of Kasina.

I wanted the Laxman at the time, but it was unavailable for purchase. Years later I am considering an upgrade, either the Laxman or Kasina.

Can you give the long awaited update now that you've owned the Kasina for 6 months, and a detailed review with pros and cons.

Also, how valuable is the open eye goggles in your opinion, and how do the programs differentiate from one another (proteus/kasina seems more strobing technology, doesn't sound like the Laxman is as much). And which do you find more effective?

Thanks a bunch and GREAT thread

Hello e92stealth.

I returned my Kasina. I found the Laxman does exactly what I need already and didn't need a second machine. The Kasina a great technical device, but I found it was "overkill". All I and others that have tried my Laxman needed was a way to lose their focus on their physical body and surroundings and my Laxman does that just fine. I prefer the beautiful "Mandalas" over a strobing effect.

Xanth wrote a great review here on this Forum on the Kasina.

I have owned my Laxman for over 2 years now and have still never used the "eyes open" feature yet.

How does that "eyes open" feature work? Does it just subdue the lighting?

I have been looking for info on why the "open eye feature" is used. What I can find so far is that it gives you another option for viewing. Seeing things via open eyes and closed does indeed change the perception of your focus.

Here is a statement from one guy on this "A synergy between the ganzfeld field effect and the all-color open-eye goggles. This is another dimension of entrainment. " and from another site "“The Laxman’s patented All-Color Ganzfeld Open-Eye Goggles transmit every color of the light spectrum indirectly onto your eyes whether open or closed (try it both ways – the experience is different). And, your visibility to other stimuli outside the goggles is eliminated, causing you to witness visions of colors and shapes that correspond to your perception of the sound you’re also experiencing. These auditory impulse frequencies define rhythms the brain will happily follow into a relaxed, meditative state of mind.”

Like I said, I still haven't tried it yet myself. I don't want to until my eye problem heals a bit more. So, I will get back to you once I do a "eye open" session. My eye is still sensitive and it wouldn't take much to relapse.

I received my Laxman after 2 weeks of waiting. This is an amazing machine!

I will need to use it for a little while before giving any review. But i will later for sure.

Have a nice day all.
