Hello....an introduction

Postby gayle » Thu May 09, 2019 6:16 pm

Hi everybody. I'm new to Wisconsin, grew up on the West Coast and lived for years on the East Coast. I'm a long time meditator, mostly with Zen and now mostly on my own. I experienced OOBE's quite a bit as a child and as a teenager but it was extremely frightening so I was glad when it slowed down in my 20's. Now I'm on the other end of life and I'd like to be able to investigate this phenomenon and move past the fear. I've been trying to induce an AP for a couple of months now using Buhlman's Hemi-sync recordings and a Kasina. I am very committed to this for the long haul and excited to have discovered this forum. Thank you to everyone who has put so much effort into what seems like a very rich source of information.

Thanks for the welcome Xanth. No questions yet, just a quick comment. I spent so much time skipping from place to place on your website yesterday, wolfing down information. I can't remember where I read your recomendations for getting started but this morning I tried staring off into the darkness after I'd quieted my mind, and sure enough - a loud, powerful vibration blew by. Of course it brought up the fear that has probably been waiting there for decades. I also watched the youtube recording of Tom Campbell as you recommend. He talked quite a bit at the beginning of just facing the fear with courage. I did that and it kept me trying until I had to get up. This is all so much more than has happened in the past few months. So thank you again. This website/forum is extraordinarily generous and I really appreciate it.
